Reverence for Nature
Our Work
Clover & Radish is a collaboration between Tom Hall and Gina Scarnati that celebrates our reverence for nature.
We are inspired by everything from vibrant California natives and garden blooms to lichens, and the chatter of towhees.
The Golden Poppy, Evening Dusk, and Sand Dune bandanas are our first offerings and there will soon be more creations on paper and cloth.
It takes labor to create, and avoid waste. As artists (and gardeners!) we find both fulfilling. To that end we work in small batches, utilize low-water, cold-water processes, and ensure dye baths are fully exhausted or captured for future use.
In the coming weeks we will be incorporating our bandana prototypes, swatches and mis-prints into unique items, intended to last.
We own well-loved bandanas that are over 50 years old and we intend ours to last for you just as long.

Be the first to know when we have new creations! Our hands are busy painting, dyeing and printing so we promise not to email you every week.
Our bright Blackberry Bumblebee Bandana grew from our summer obsession with the backyard blackberry bush. The delicate blossoms, the bumblebees, the boisterous branches, and of course, the berries!
Ranging from dark magenta to the purply-pink stain of berry juice, our colorful bandanas are hand-dyed and screen-printed in Oakland, California.
